Eye Condition & Disease Management

Diabetic Eye Disease

  • Checking for diabetic eye disease is part of our comprehensive eye exam. Using eye drops to dilate the pupil we can get a more comprehensive view of the back of the eye to look for retinal detachments, tears, or other retinal anomalies.

Glaucoma

  • Checking for diabetic eye disease is part of our comprehensive eye exam. Using eye drops to dilate the pupil we can get a more comprehensive view of the back of the eye to look for retinal detachments, tears, or other retinal anomalies.

Low Vision

  • We specialize in helping people with less than 20/20 vision due to macular degeneration, glaucoma, or retinal or optic nerve disease. Using high-power bifocals, handheld magnifiers, or closed-circuit TV systems, we will attempt to improve the quality of vision and life.

Macular Degeneration

  • Macular degeneration is another leading cause of visual disability; fortunately, there are treatment options available. Like glaucoma, we look for macular degeneration with all of our adult patients. Depending on whether you have the “dry” or “wet” form of the disease, your doctor will recommend options for treatment and management. For those already visually disabled by the disease, our low vision clinic can help to enhance the remaining vision.
